Inner Ear Infection

I haven't had an ear ache since I was a child, but woke up yesterday with one.

Wife called our CPA that we met with on Monday & she was out of the office sick....with an inner ear infection.

What is this Evil & how is it contagious?

Anyone had this? What is the Secret Cure?

My SIL had an inner ear infection. Blew her nose and ruptured her ear drum. Wound up getting bacterial meningitis. Had a heart attack along with it and is currently hospitalized. Just got off the vent and now has pneumonia!
Bad luck.

My wife started having constant ear infections a couple years ago. Last Aug her Doctor got tired of it and put a tube in the bad ear, just like a little kid.

Inner ear infections can have serious long term repercussions.
My nephew got one from my brother being sick and wound up with some so far unidentifiable condition that makes him feel like the room is spinning around. Been to all kind of doctors, specialists, and currently waiting on results from MRI. Lots of internet research on his part is pointing to something called vestibular neuritis or something that sounds like that.

Something like this will kill us all one day and wipe out a big majority of the population.

I got an ear infection while on an elk hunt. Called the specialist and his office help told me he would not see me for 2 weeks. I went and he said I had lost 40% of my hearing in that ear and if I would have come in right away he could have saved my hearing. I told him about his office people and he turned white as a sheet. Really ticked me off. Go get some antibiotics now.
