Yellow Pages - Do you use them?

Do you use Yellow Pages to find businesses or services you need? Or do you just Google it?

Not in many years.

Do they still even print them? Paper is so 90's.

They went away in the big city many many years ago.

They still make them but they are tiny now, and for the YP.com (former AT&T YP) you have to request it. They mail out a postcard when it comes out.

Well, since the Sears catalog quit coming we had to use the yellow pages.

Why? It wears me out when people call to get directions to football games or track meets. Use your phone or google directions. This is 2018.

Each year when delivered, the books go straight to the dumpster.

At one time YP was king

Not the phone book, but I use the yellow pages website.

I did. Even when I was selling it was mostly for yp.com

I use one to sit on when I'm driving.

Now that I think about it, I actually have one in my vehicle. It makes for a great fire starter when camping or night fishing.

What cracks me up is that people will ask a question on this forum and wait for some advice that may take over an hour (provided its right) rather than googling it and getting the answer in about 20 seconds.....SMDH

It's hard to believe salesman actually sell ad space for Yellow Pages. I could imagine that's a tough job. It's costly too!

Yes. I also sold them for thirty years. They still work quite well for a lot of small businesses. Their target demographic is now more baby boomers. They have most the money and don't trust the Internet as much.
