I have owned Kayaks in the past, but my children each took one when they moved away. So it has been a few years since I owned one. The other day I saw a kayak at a pawn shop, I thought what the heck, I really miss Kayaking the Leon river below Belton Dam. Bought this kayak with little or no knowledge about it. Pros STABILITY. I am 5'9" 235lbs (a real ballerina). Took it out 3 times, never turtled, stood up in it for at least 30-40 min (note I had never stood in a kayak before). Cons, tracks poorly, does not glide at all, a real tank and workout compared to my previous Ocean trident 13 with rudder. Pro, I can use the exercise, Pro Caught a bunch of fish. I'm thinking about adding a rudder, (and I'm on a budget) any suggestions would be appreciated. Also bought scupper plugs at Academy, the guy said the are universal...Not... Need to find the small ones... Pro this thing fits in the back of my short bed Tacoma... Con it is heavy for such a short kayak over 65 lbs, with added gear probably 85lbs. Any advise on a scupper cart. Love to meet up with anyone looking for a SLOW drift. Can either go one way from Miller springs to Heritage park in Belton, Or the way I have been going, put in a Miller Springs go down to 317 bridge, turn and come back to Miller Springs. Thanks Jamoke

I would look at a ctugg for a cart. If your scuppers are not reinforced like the Hobies you risk damaging them using a scupper cart.
