I leave this weekend for SPI and was wondering if anyone had any pointers for ingress for a kayak and areas. I would like to get back into South Bay or possible make a run up to access road 5. I hear the ditch is really producing but not sure how to get there other than a very long paddle.

I wouldn't recommend going all the way to South Bay unless you just know what you're doing in there...
Holly Beach area in Laguna Vista produces slams. Behind the convention center and down to the causeway is trout city with occasional and random others.
What do you mean by "the ditch"- the ICW? I used to live in Padre, am familiar with yak fishing this area.
