Bonham, Amon Carter, or South Lake in Farmersville?

Bonham, Amon Carter, or South Lake in Farmersville? - 07/11/15 10:17 PM

Wanting to get on some bass tomorrow. Report on Bonham is the fishing for LMB is "excellent" on top water, jigs, and soft plastics. That's all I see online, but when I see the "excellent" card played I question it.

I also want to fish AGC and South Lake because I haven't before, so if one of those lakes are hot I'll head there.

Anyone have any thoughts or hearing anything? Is that Bonham report accurate? Anyone want to make a suggestion and launch with me tomorrow morning at one of these lakes lets do it! Long week and I want to go whack 'em somewhere!! I plan to be on the water at 6am.

Bonham is capable of some good bass fishing. But it is over fished and under a lot of pressure. You can catch fish but you will have to work for them. If you have good electronics there is an advantage. Might be a little tough on a yak. April and early may would be a good time to target Bonham on a yak. There are cat tails all around the lake and fun to fish them on a yak. Especially for crappie.

I just want to go somewhere that I know there will be some catchable fish tomorrow. Last few times I've been out I couldn't get in them at Fork so I'm just wanting to catch something tomorrow lol.... I wonder if buck creek at ray bob is holding anything right now?

I wouldn't go to South Lake if you want catchable fish. My last few trips with the higher water have been terrible, 2 fish in 3 trips.

Where/what is South Lake? I seen it mentioned a couple of times here but I'm not familiar with it. And I live within 20 miles of Farmersville.
