Bass Tourney 7/18/15 Lake Amon Carter-by MSKFC

Open bass tournament for all human powered kayaks. Lake Amon G Carter, Bowie Tx.

Tournament entry is $30 with optional $10 big bass. Pays back 100% divided 60/25/15 between 1st/2nd/3rd. 100% big bass pot to big bass winner and a $25 certificate from Papa's Baits for the first person out of the money.

**Registration location**Walmart Super Center parking lot 1341 Highway 287 North, Bowie, TX 76230

Registration is from 5-6am with captains meeting at 6am. First cast 6:30. Road runner anywhere on Lake Amon Carter

It will be your best 5 bass CPR'd with a 12" minimum. I prefer a hawg trough or equivalent. *Smart phones* or digital cameras can be used. I have a card reader but please bring you camera cords if using a digital camera.

Sorry for the guys that went to prefished this weekend and found the boat ramps closed. They are reopening the ramps and lake today at noon.

I just spoke with the City Of Bowie and they are open now along as they don't get anymore rain!!

Took a trip out there this weekend. Lake is just a little over pool and clearing up pretty good.

I'm working this weekend but if I get a chance I was going to go back out there. It's a great little fishing lake with nice fish.

Everything trimed up and spooled up! Ready for Amon Carter! Never been there so hopping for the best lol! Just being able to have a line in with a wet hook on a new spot is exciting. Looking forward to meeting up with all the good folks that I've met and maybe some more new faces!

We should have a decent turn out. A few guys not on TFF are coming too. Amon Carter is such a sweet lake. I'm thinking like Jason that there's a good chance somebody gets a big chunk.

I'm glad you guys are so optimistic... I love Amon Carter and have probably fished it more than most, the reality is the water clarity is way off and the bites are tough to come by right now. It could be any bodies game on Saturday.

Oh, the bite is way off and it's super tough... Let's see who can man up and do some damage this weekend. I'll probably have my usual Tournament luck and get skunked. LOL.

After the tournament I recommend Dos Chilies for dinner. Best place to eat in town IMO.

So everyone can't rest easy! I have broke my famous rod! just to let everyone know change your braid every so often. Extensive line twist coupled with over use can make it brittle causing your line to break on a hook set and your rod to crash into your power pole resulting in a one piece rod being turned into a two piece rod!

It's anybodies game now! Jason let the magic out of his Excalibur!

It was a tough day on the water yesterday. I managed to squeak out a win with my one 18" fish. It was great seeing everyone, looking forward to doing it again. Thanks again to Mariner Sails for putting on this series and thanks to all the folks that do the work hosting the events. I look forward to these events. If you haven't fished a Mariner series yet, you are missing out. This is the way I wish all kayak tournaments could be.

The bass won yesterday....

Congratulations to Coach P(1st), Grease Bath(2nd), and Kevin Upchurch(3rd)! Dallas won the $50 gift certificate to Mariner Sails and Troy won first out Papa's Bait gift certificate.

It was really tough conditions. The last few trips I made I knew it would be but not like it was. Like most our lakes it had a big swing in water level this year. We did had a mix bag of fish caught but only a few got the bass needed. we should have done a trash fish side pot
