Fishfinder rigging, cellblok?

Fishfinder rigging, cellblok? - 04/16/15 03:24 PM

Hey guys,

I'm thinking about putting a Humminbird Helix DI GPS fishfinder on my ride 135, and was looking at rigging it up with the yak attack cell blok.
Has anyone used the cell blok or have any other suggestions?

I didn't want a heavy battery riding high. I use a YakAttack mount for the screen and a Mad Frog Liberator for the transducer. The battery is up front, riding low, in a Rubbermaid container. It comes down to personal preference and what you want to spend.

I use a mad frog liberator arm for my transducer and the mad frog board to mount the unit too. I installed a power port in front of the foot pegs and then ran that under hull to the battery. Having an 18ah battery isnt an option in the cellblok. The 8ah batteries won't last all day if you are running some high draw units with SI. The Helix is around 650ma per hour so you would be ok. If my math is correct and you had a full charge, you could get 12.3 hours. Add lights or anything else and it won't be enough for a full day.
