Ever see "SPANISH FLY" fishing show?



A friend told me this AM that fellow angler Jose Wejebe passed away in a plane crash.
Anyone hear this?

I Just checked his website & confirmed he is gone.

I enjoyed his show for many years.Sure is sad to have him go that way.

Yea it is sad he always seemed like he just loved fish and being on the water a very genuine person and one of those people I would have loved to share a boat with and pick his brain rest in peace Jose.

He was piloting his own small plane and crashed shortly after takeoff at an airfield in south Florida. I think it was April 6th. I always loved his show. He started in about '94 when ESPN2 started. My Mom's side of the family is Cuban, so I always had a special interest in his story

no one escapes their expiration date.

His plane crash was April 6th I believe. He had one of the great fishing shows. They are still showing the 2012 season on Outdoor Channel
