Brazos 8-12

Brazos 8-12 - 08/15/11 02:23 AM

A friend and I hit the Brazos last Friday with good results. We each caught about a dozen bass, most of mine were on flukes. I caught my first bass on my new Tru-Tungsten 7" swim bait. It was my biggest fish of the day and also my first river trip since the Devils in mid June (trip report to come).

Got to love a swimbait fish. Sweet. How big?

That bait is bigger than a lot of the fish I catch!!

Looking forward to the report.

Greedy bass. It was trying to fill up on one meal. I thought those swim baits caught "BIG" bass.

Brady what part of the brazos did you fish? I recently floated the 20 from PK down to 4. Wouldnt have been bad if not for the south wind. Made it more like 35 miles in two days.

The wind always seems to be tough for me on that trip. Interesting side note. The book Goodbye to a River by John Graves starts out at my cafe! Love that river!
