I was thinking NuCanoe Frontier or Sportspal Canoe with 2.5 HP

Which 16 foot and under kayak/canoe has the highest HP rating?

I see those RiverHawk 15ft square sterns have a 10HP rating

Some other company tried this about 5 years ago. I know one guy local got one and liked it but they never took off. They don't really fall into the kayak category and are actually a boat. A lot have added trolling motors and small outboards to kayaks but when you start having to deal with things that are too heavy to lift and want to cover a whole lake from one launch there are a lot of boats that do it cheaper. This thing might do better for coast fisherman but again there are boats and skiffs that work very good for that and are more practical IMO.

My Meyers Sportspal S-15 is rated for a 5 HP outboard. It has the flat stern for a ready mounting of either an outboard or a TM.

But, the great advantage is that it can also be used with a paddle. It paddles just about like a large kayak.

With these sort of kayak-looking boats, it is either power on or no go. One has more range of options in a single vessel going other ways.

I'd give this one, the boat shown above, about 1 in 1,000,000 chance of grabbing any market share.

If I wanted a jet drive on a kayak I would get the electric bixpy and put it on a good kayak.
