Not sure if anyone else has been waiting for this release. I've been following this boat for a little bit.

If you are looking for a paddling kayak that can get into skinny water as in flats fishing, or is very maneuverable on rivers and is wide enough to stand on like standing on a pier, this might be the boat for you.

I haven't paddled one YET. They were just released, but if I were buying a boat today for my application, this would be in very rare ground as far as boats on the short list.

Clay34,

Yes, while not personally in the market for a kayak, if I were getting ready to buy a paddler, this would be very high on my list. likely the top candidate. It looks like a smaller version of a Big Rig to me.

Very clean looking, traditional looking.

Although I'm not in the market, I initially thought it was a great, simple design. Then I read the specs and 36.5" wide and 104 lbs it's going to be slug on the water.

It should be a fly fishing dream. Very stable standing platform. It's more narrow than a Big Rig (38") and it drafts less wind in that it is a lower profile as far as a wind sail. The retractable skag will help with tracking over longer hauls. Looks like it can float on wet grass.

It really depends on the kind of fishing you do. If you like to stand and cast and fish the flats or rivers, this should be a winner. If you fish the surf or normally have long paddles to get to your fishing spot, something else might work better for your application.

Bluntly, not in the market either. More like a guy who likes to see what are the new race cars being introduced even though I don't plan on buying one this week.

For my application, this boat or a Jackson Mayfly are the top two on my personal watch list.

I think a test paddle will give me all the answers that I need when it actually comes time to be separated from my cash.

I don't car top my current boat, I like to transport with a trailer and I have a nice kayak cart. The weight doesn't give me any concerns.

I like the trend here, toward more and more really cool standard equipment. This one? A retractable skeg will be great, the under-seat storage and the "two cockpit covers" one for electronics and a flat one for standing and more space.

For sure, this one will be more about stability than speed.

I wonder how big the hole is with the center console removed. Do you think it will fit a 30lb minn kota trolling motor?

You can see it here in this new video. Tight fit, but possible I suppose!

This is one really well-thought-out vessel. Tons and tons of standard equipment.

I was surprised to see that not only does the seat have a low and a high setting, but the whole assembly can be slid forward and backward.

Very cool!
