Headed there this weekend with GF for a little fishing and sight seeing. Anyone seeing any grass and if so could you PM me on what parts of the lake would be a good place to start looking? No tournaments this weekend is there?

There is at least one tournament this coming week-end which is the Permian Bass Club tournament.

Permian is fishing out of Box Canyon approx. 30 boats. Few smaller tourny's listed on the NPS site.

Permian is fishing east of hwy 90 bridge only!

Maybe some conflicts with weigh-in's. Val Verde BC has the tube on Sat and RGBC on Sun from 3-330. Both have approx. 25-35 boats. Not sure what Permian is doing but the NPS Site has them out of Box..
