Stillhouse Hollow Fishing Report

Stillhouse Hollow Fishing Report - 09/13/18 02:35 PM

Clint of FishtheBite invited me on his boat last weekend on Stillhouse with Don Harper to fish humps, points, and contours. Fish were schooling up on the humps; and we managed to catch a few on topwaters. We didn't get a personal best on this trip; but sure had a fun time with good company and good fishermen onboard. I've put together a 5 minute video documenting it. Enjoy the video.

Nice video and thanks for the report. Good to see lake is fishing better than it has been the past few weeks.

Is there a bunch of matted hydrilla on that lake?

yep, it was pretty thick matt, that needed heavy punching rigs.

you want to catch some monster bass on stillhouse, go troll midrange depth wide wobble crankbaits on the big flat opposite of dana peak park. there are some old barrels along the bank tnhat were put there in a big pile many years ago. when the lake is low they stick out of the water .
Ive also seem folks trolling large plastic worms on that flat and doing very well.

Great tip, thank you. I'll have to check on Google Earth to see if those show up.
