Here is the headline on the first page, so do NOT know what is going on.

Naquin & Lucas take day one lead over 233 teams on a tough Red River.

Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

If I'm not mistaken they have done the same thing before (posting Day 1 results with final payout) just to show what the payout will be....

233 teams and 13 limits. That's bad. Is 233 about normal for a champs championship?

Yep, right on the average since 2013.

Yea, not looking good for the Red this year. With tomorrow's cold front, who knows!

The Red has sucked since the flood even worse. The size of fish took a huge hit and with the vegation being sprayed now it's not helping none. We have zero help on the river system now as the state is out of funds for few years after spending so much from the flood. People laughed when I said 12lbs a day would win it and 5 would get u a check but there is a lot of people who went home before it began and after fishing today also

Doesn't look like anyone is out of position to get a check after day 1

..... shows you who the true fishermen are .....
winning a Championship should not be easy
if anyone could do it,,,,or it was EASY ...... I'd be out there.
fish hammer
if 20lbs will win it ,,,, so be it ,,,, go catch 20 pounds !!!!
Good Fishing to those that are there !!!!
Most of all ,,,,, stay SAFE

When the fishing is tough, it levels the playing field. Every time someone cancels, you move up a spot in the money.

Maybe the Red needs some help like fish stocking.

Looks like day one leaders never even caught a fish. Not exactly a level playing field. Just a crappy fishery.

Re: Bass Champs Results @ Red River - 10/16/17 12:21 AM

Falling temps and stiff north wind all day was tough. Most guys would have weighed 5 fish limits both days if they hadn't made it a 14in min
