Boat lane on fork?

Is there a marked boat lane that runs from the main boat lane to the Weigh in at Lake Fork Marina?
And if not suggestions since the boat lane runs on the opposite side of the lake...

There are boat lanes on Fork but that one is best ran with a chip.

No marked boat lane from Lake Fork Marina to the buoyed boat lane. I always lined up with the cove straight across the lake when leaving the marina. I've made the trip hundreds of times at various water depths and never hit anything. Be sure and create a trail you can follow back.

There is a lane marked on Lake Fork Boat Lanes chip. It veers towards bridge a bit.

No marked lane. I've watched hundreds of boat run a pretty straight course from the lane to the Marina and I just pucker up and run it too. I THINK it is pretty safe to run there atleast at this water level.

Spend the $20-25 on the Boat Lanes chip.......WELL worth it.

I just turn at that house on the hill and run 70 until I hit the marina... worked for the last 10yrs.

I wait on one of those fools running 70 and jump in his wake, it's worked for the last ten years. I agree get a boat lanes chip. I prefer the Lance Vick version.

I've always heard idle out of the marina and then line up with the 4 or 5 oak trees on the opposite bank, done it many times and always been fine. Just don't turn until you bet to the markers...may or may not be saying that from experience.

What looks like open water at Fork is not always open. Evidently the standing timber that used to be visible out in front of Lake Fork Marina has been forgotten by many or they weren't here to see it. Very poor advise to tell someone to run straight out to the point on the other side. Mr Perry is correct, the safest run veers towards the N corner of the bridge.

Theres a few widow makers near that unmarked lane. One of our very own TFF's demolished his Skeeter there while running the trail on his GPS he'd run many times before. From what I recall the boat was a total loss, mabey he'll chime in and clarify.... I'll be nice and wont name him.

Yes, the lake was 6 foot low and I hit a stump coming back into LFM. I was on a line I'd ran 100's of time previous. I always leave LFM and head for the green barn opposite the lake. This happened during a Take a Soldier fishing event and we were returning. We had gone out after the normal weigh in to fish till dark. The stump was visible about 3-6 inches above the water line and about as big around as a baseball bat. By the time we saw it there was no time to manuever and with 2 guys in the boat I wasn't going to try a breach turn or something silly. I dead centered it and it cracked the pad right over the center livewell drains

The boat wasn't totaled but the repair bill was north of 15k

Oh, and Brooks Rogers impaled one in that same area a few weeks earlier. But all that stuff is 5 foot deep now

This weekend u could throw out all the boat lanes. I saw people running thru mine fields and never hit a stump. It's amazing to watch. Maybe they really do know the lake, nah, no way.

At the present water level, and the fact that the OP doesn't have a copy of boat lanes loaded, running straight across is his safest option. If you try to run the veer to the north to the corner of the bridge without a boat lanes chip, you have the option of stumps on the long point from the west, and a forest to the east. You must make the veer to the north at exactly the right place, which is difficult to do these days with nothing to reference. Wait till the lake gets down 6', you'll see what I'm talking about.

100% agree. I was given the advise I offered a couple of years ago from the person doing demo rides at the Skeeter tournament. He made that run hundreds of times over two days and I watched hundreds of boats during the tournament make the same run, has always worked for me. As everyone should know..when fork is down trust nothing!
