I was told to put in at the point? They said it was a private ramp but I can't find it on the map. Any help?

Sky point is the one I believe they told us to launch at. Is that a good place?

Sky Point RV Park...we launched there for Bass Champs, two lane ramp with ample parking. They charged us a $7.00 fee to launch & park

Depends where you intend to fish, how much running you want to do and whether you want to deal with wind on the main lake.
From State Park you can fish all of Waco Bay and related coves without entering the main lake.
From Sky Point, you can fish the launch cove, which I think is Cedar Cove. And on a calmish day you can fish Tall Man toward the dam, or Oak and Squirrel Coves, n of Cedar Cove...and you can cross the main lake and fish the coves on the west side of the main lake. But if you've not fished Twak much, do yourself a favor and get a good map that shows the submerged tree fields, humps and bars, especially if you plan to cross the main lake from Cedar Cove.

state park is good as long as guides are ready to go when they launch. otherwise it's a wait.
