I'm sure the same can be done to reverse the results by adjusting settings

I'm a Lowrance guy but I'm very skeptical without knowing the parameters

I run two Garmin's. But if the Garmin ducer doesn't have a down facing element, settings ain't gonna fix that.

I run Garmins. I don't think their down scan is very good at all comparatively to others, especially when it comes to showing fish. Side scan and sonar are great.

I run two Lowrance Elite 7 Ti, just like in the video. The primary has totalscan, and the secondary has only downscan. I use a Windows tablet to bluetooth the screen of the primary to the front of the boat if I need it for the type of fishing I'm doing. Just like with any sonar unit, you have to get comfortable with what you are seeing and confident in your interpretation. If you use it enough, one day it will all "click", and it's like looking in an aquarium. Everything underneath you, and everything 200 feet out the each side, becomes visible. Now, if only they sonar guys would create a 360 degree scan that coordinates with the speed of boat. That would really be something.

I don't understand why the water depth is different on each unit. I saw up to a 7' difference when they were scanning the same thing.

I have no dog in this fight, but it seems like a deceptive video.
