anybody know the B.A.S.S. format for Texas fest on Rayburn? - 05/15/17 01:27 AM

their webpage says they are going to have a judge and scales in every boat to weigh each fish that a pro catches then fish is released with pros being able to bring one fish to scales 21 inches or better only........is this going to be a total weight of all fish caught by the pro in the tournament or just his heaviest 5 each day?

It's going to be heaviest cumulative weight over 4 days. In addition, the angler with the largest bass overall will receive a brand new Tundra.

Best five each day, best 20 for the tournament. Tournament days are Weds-Friday, and Sunday. Marshal's will weigh and record every fish caught, but only the biggest 5 will count towards an angler's weight each day.

is the heaviest cumulative weight for the five biggest fish the pro catches each day or combined weight for the total number of fish he catches each day?.....
trying to keep an open mind about this format but seems to me they are risking some screw-ups with trying to use that many scales plus you got to wonder just how accurate and consistent all of those things are....also if they doing a combined total weight,a guy could catch five 6lb fish flipping and still get beat by a guy locating a school of dinks and catching 30 fish with a drop shot....a combined total weight also might change the way you have to practice for a tourney.....not sure if that's good or bad....

It is not cumulative weight. Best five each day are all that count.

My bad...I mislead y'all in my comment above. I meant a cumulative weight of the 5 fish each day for 4 total days. In other words, it's NOT Major League Fishing format.

Y'all just listen to Fouzman....he's right 99% of the time!
