Oxidation and Gouge Repair Recommendation - 03/24/17 01:55 AM

Hey guys, I have 05 skeeter. Needs tlc. I have pretty bad oxidation on top. I have some deep gouges on bottom.
I live in Frisco/Dallas area. But I could drop off at Fork area as well.

I assume will need to repair gouges, then restore gel coat. Who would you recommend?

Thanks so much.

wet sand the boat yourself. It's take time but worth it. Watch the video. You can do it yourself.

Wet sand then buff, will look good as new.

Depends if flake is exposed or not? Gel restoration can get pricey. Wet sanding off oxidation is easy and much cheaper

My dad just paid to have his boat wet sanded, polished and wax. Wet sand was $20 a foot , polish/wax was $30 a foot.
Last year I polished/wax a 26 year old boat myself, took me about 30 hours total . with buying the buffer , polish and wax I was all in for under $60

I suspect classic fiberglass is the right answer here.
