Could be in the 30's or could be in the 70's.... seriously
Part of it lays in Texas, so this is definitely true,,,maybe down into the 20s or possibly up into the 80s even...too good of a lake not to go to, regardless of time of year
Hey Bass Man over here in Colorado City the wind is in like lion In March and out like a lamb in about eleven months from March.... Lol Wife and I fished Toledo in middle of March once and it was great. I think April is even better from what I've been told.. We fished shallow sides of humps. If I remember used a green pumpkin trick worm. It's been about seven years ago though and my memory not as good as it used to be. I hope you get to go it's a Great Lake.
More than likely the wind will be blowing but there are plenty of places to hide. The downfall is that is where EVERYBODY will be so those places will be crowded. The way I look at it is if you try to plan around the weather you won't ever go fishing. Just go and deal with mother nature at that time.
The wind can be an issue at t-bend but with so many public launch facilities up and down the lake you can easily trailer to a protected area and still enjoy phenomenal fishing.
I'm retired and able to go to Toledo Bend whenever I want to and stay as long as I want ... that said, I'm anxiously planning about a 10 night trip there soon. I've planned on staying at Alpine Marina. If there's another 'old stick' out there that might want to join me just shout out.
Is the wind blowing in march on Toledo like it does in west texas
This really depends on whether or not I will be there. My in-laws live there. It will be calm for weeks, and blow 20+ when I come. Even if the wind blows, there are plenty of places to fish, even with the other boat traffic. It's a huge lake.
