New Tackle store at Rayburn
Noticed a new tackle store being built on 255 left hand side before the Stump as I recall. They had a sign but can't remember the name. Nice building, somebody spent some money from the looks of it.

I saw something about a Tackle Addict store being built around Sam Rayburn.

Awesome store and awesome folks. They have everything that you need. Stopped by the original on in Onalaska once it was awesome. I am sure the one at Rayburn will be even better.

As long as Shane stays over there and runs it, it should make it. If Jeff spends much time over there, his arrogant personality won't go over very well with the locals.
I hear Needmore Tackle is taking over the S&P Rod Shop location in Zavalla on 147. So they'll have 2 stores now.

Needmore bought the tackle side of S&P Rods.

Tackle Addict!
All i can say is this, i've never met Jeff in person, but have talked to him on the phone numerous times, and he spent 2 weeks in a pissing contest with Lews over a Tournament Lite that i had ordered (I've told this storey here before) due to the fact that they had discontinued the reel, but did not make their suppliers aware of that, at the end of the day, he ended giving me a Team Tournament Lite for the price of a Tournament Lite! So he pretty much has customer for life with me, and to add to that, i have since purchased other items from him and never had an issue!

Tackle Addict is a great store and the guys there are fantastic. I understand that some people may take Jeff the wrong way, but he is a fantastic guy and would do anything for anyone. All I know is, you may need to try to spend just a little time talking to him and get to know him and you will realize that's not arrogance. Jeff, Shane, Chris, Clint, and everyone else that works up there does everything possible to make sure that your expectations are met. Not to mention, with over 140 different brands they carry any and everything that you could possibly need.

Nice! Hopefully the prices won't be higher than retail. I'd love to be able to just head to the lake and pick up what I need there without having to worry about overpaying.

Ann's pretty much has it all at retail prices. Just putting that out there. I will surely end up in this new one though and spend some money.

Been to the original store multiple times on the way from Conroe to Rayburn. I drive the extra few miles just to stop there. Great store, best prices and even better people.

Great store and I've found everyone working there to be very knowledgeable and very friendly.. Sure wish they'd put a store close to Conroe, nothing nice around here that I've found. Tackle Addict also really supports the high school fishing clubs, another reason to do business with them along with their great prices and inventory.
I drove by a another time or two going to the ramp and it looks to be a good size store. Its a good location. They should do very well.

Jeff is a good guy. He is a little different but his heart is in the right place. No need to cast stones, he has a passion for the sport and is out for the greater good.

That doesn't offset the 8.25% sales tax. They do offer a 10% vets discount as well.

All the folks that are associated with Tackle Addict are great folks and always seem to go the extra mile to help. As far as Jeff, he's a really good guy that I've got a lot of respect for. I respect what he's done so far and how he's done it. Best wishes on their continued success.

I am quite partial to Ann's. Years ago had an issue with an Evinrude Intruder 150 and had to be towed back to the ramp at Caney. This was when Ann's was in town and Sportsman's Marine was next door. I tried to make it to Sportsman's but they had closed so went in Ann's an told her what was up. (I lived 75 miles away at the time). She said no prob, "tow your rig to my house and drop it off and I'll hook up to it in the morning and bring it in". Pretty cool. I've sat down and talked to her many times ... she has some great stories.
But I spend money in most every tackle store I go by and I'll go to this new one too. Spent plenty at Needmore too.

Here is a discount code for online orders for Tackle Addict:
Clark10
This should be good for 10% off online orders. The biggest benefit about ordering from them over the other major online retailers is for most of the South especially Texas, you will have it in 1-2 days time with regular shipping($50 free shipping). Their prices are matched to their biggest competitors as well. If you don't see it on the website, give the stores a call and they will probably have it on the shelf to fulfill your order. You can also call to place your order to be picked up in the store if you are running behind coming to the lake. The new store is 1500 square feet bigger than the huge store at Lake Livingston and at last count, they were carrying 170+ different brands.
Sam Rayburn (409)698-9370
Lake Livingston (936)646-7637
The hours for the new store at Rayburn:
Monday-Wednesday 8am-6pm
Thursday 6am-9pm
Friday-Saturday 5am-9pm
Sunday 6am-Noon
