G-Rods International.

G-Rods International. - 11/15/16 03:53 AM

Does anybody fishing these rods in the "Pro Bass" line have an opinion on them? I have a G-Rod 7'ML spinning rod I use for jigging crappie and I'm very impressed with that blank, I fish it along side a 701 Dobyns Chamion Extreme and gotta say I like the G-Rod better at half the price. I got to handle the new "Game Changer" line bass rods that are not out yet. Glenn told me that Pack was fishing G-Rods now, maybe he will chime in.

I just looked on line and the crappie rods through G-rods are 150.00 range the bass rods are 349.00-379.00. I am wondering were you can buy the bass rods at half the price, or whether the online price is wrong? The dobyns Extreme are in the same 349.00 range. I think if I am looking at the right stuff rods are same price for both brands.

Yes sir, the "Pro Bass" rods are the same price range as the Extreme. I was stating that I fish (crappie jigging) and like the 150$ G-Rod blank over the 330$ Dobyns Extreme. The EXT is a great rod, but the G-rod blank to me feels lighter, more sensitive and a stronger back bone for swinging large crappie.
Now to compare apples to apples, Google G-Rods "Game Changer", It is closer matched to the Champion series at the 240$ range, although it is not out yet, should be late November or early December. If I'm not mistaken, it is the same awesome blank as the "Pro Bass" line, but with less expensive hdw.

I have been using the G rods "pro bass"for a little over a year now and couldn't be happier with the feel and sensitivity of the rods, all of my friends that have used mine have loved them too. I personally know Glen and can tell you that he has put a lot of time and work into the technology of these rods. You will not be disappointed in them.

There is a fellow kayak angler friend of mine who raves about them. They have gotten some good feedback from others as well.

I personally have not fished with one, but have held one and it was very well balanced. Idk which particular rod it was though.

I have never fished the bass series, but I've been fishing the crappie series for two years now. I own the 6ft, 8ft, 8ft prototype and 10'6" rods. Simply put, the best rods I've ever fished with, including both fresh and saltwater. If I were a casual recreational angler, I don't know if I would splurge on this rod, but if I wanted the best technology on the market, which I personally do, I'd get yourself a G Rod. Should these be out of your price range, at least do yourself a favor and Google "graphene." Some really cool stuff that brings a whole different standard to the fishing industry.

On a side note, Glen Miller (owner and patent holder) continues to impress me with his knowledge of his product and his passion for fishing. He's a refreshing addition to this industry and I'm glad to have finally met him.

Hey guys I have been using the pro bass rods for over a year and cannot say enough about them. The rods have a material in it called Graphene and Toray carbon fiber which make these things strong as heck and super sensitive and light. I have always used high quality equipment and although there are a lot of great rods out there G-Rods is on a whole different level. If y'all ever want to check them out PM me and I don't mind showing them to you anyone. To me it's better to actually put them in your hand and see and feel the difference.

You are dead on Carlos1020! If you ever hold one, you will want one! They easily sell themselves! Absolutely the lightest most sensitive rod on the market, half the price of its closest competition!

Re: G-Rods International. - 11/23/16 07:51 PM

I have fished the G-Rods Pro Bass and the new Game Changer series that will be coming out later this year. The whole G-Rod staff put a lot of thought and hard work into the Game Changer series. These rods aren't only strong but are extremely sensitive. The Graphene used in these rods is an incredible material that will change the industry. I have some of the new Game Changers as well as a few Pro Bass if anyone wants to check them out. Give me a shout or PM me. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
