Google Mapper and Lowrance/Hummingbird

Google Mapper and Lowrance/Hummingbird - 11/01/16 06:43 PM

Has anybody found a way to take a specific Google Map and import it to Lowrance/or Hummingbird? I am looking at the Sam Rayburn Lake Level for a particular low level year. I would think there is some way to maybe import it? Not just the GPS spots or the Pre-impoundment (Legend Map)but that specific year MAP.

Google the following and all the permutations:
AT5 Satellite Imagery
AT5 Satellite Overlays
AT5 Photo Overlays
Lowrance AT5 Mapping
AT5 Historical images

And if your referring to the Google Earth historical images from November/2011 on Sam Rayburn, then yes a AT5 map can be built from Veach and up to the north. South of Veach, then another time period has to be selected(January/2009).

Looks like it can be done with Lowrance HDS
You will need to download insight map creator and SAS planet

Lakemaster Chart Select has Sam Rayburn satellite images for 2012 and 2014.
It is the new Chart Select Layers that the new Helix G2 units are compatible with.

Does it look like this from Sam Rayburn during low water November, 2011?

Don't know and I am not going to purchase that lake map to find out.
The satellite image layers just state 2012 and 2014.

It has been indicated that more years can be made available, would have to request that for that location so it is included. The map layers are individual purchases with the contour mapping. You can choose a USGS map, several years of satellite overlay, and Smartstrike as part of the purchase or all of them.

I do have a unit that will read the layers though.
