Is kurth to low to launch a 18ft boat,was wanting take my son friday but heard the lake was being lowered,just wondering if anybody been out there.

I would check with the city of Lufkin to see if the ramp is open. I heard they were working on it and it may not be available at this time. I have not been. Here is their # 936-634-8881

Just heard that the ramp was closed and will be probably the rest of the year. They are building a fishing pier and a boat landing pier.
