KVD. I've used Reel Magic and a couple others. KVD is hands down the best, imo.

KVD for sure. Especially with fluoro, but with any line. It really makes it more manageable.

KVD. Makes a huge difference in the smoothness and castability. Use it one time, and you'll be hooked.

Re: Line Conditioner - 10/20/16 04:40 PM

Where can you buy it locally?

Re: Line Conditioner - 10/20/16 05:46 PM

OK , more dumb questions , for the guys that are using it , do you use it for both baitcasters and spinning rods ? If yes on the spinning rods , does it help with the line "coiling" .
Is there a specific line that it works best with --both baitcasters and spinning rods ?

Yes you can use it on spinning outfit. One thing that I do is to apply it the night before and let it soak in. Occasionally I will apply it during the day of fishing but it is rare... Hope this helps

Best way to get line coil out from spinning reel is stretch the line before you go, same with a baitcaster. I spray my reels with KVD while on the boat when needed. Give it a minute or two and makes it cast just like new line.

Let me guess. You just respool every month or so? Because that makes way more sense....

Ive had some fluoro on my reels that Ive had on there for well over a year that still casts and works great thanks to KVD it has saved me a ton of money compared to having to respool all the time.

KVD THE BEST, BOUGHT SOME REELSNOT CONDITIONER WAY TOO GREASY.

Re: Line Conditioner - 10/21/16 01:38 AM

Another thing I do after fishing dity water is to clean the line. I tie my line onto another reel, and take off however much is needed. Then just hold the line between a paper towel soaked with KVD, and reel it back on. You'll see how nasty line can get, and once cleaned, will look like new.

I have some reel magic a buddy gave me. I have never used it. I suppose I should chunk it. it is over 10 years old. I suppose I will have to get some KVD stuff.

I've been using Blakemore Reel Magic for years, in fact I have some that is prob. close to ten years old and still works fine. When it's gone, I'll switch over to KVD. And for the poster who asked where to get it, BassPro has it
