Has anyone tried the abu Garcia "Ike" rods? - 10/12/16 02:04 AM
I found them on clearance at academy for $80 and I thought the medium felt like a good crankbait rod so I bought it. Just wondering if anyone here has any opinions. Should I go get my money back? I know there's gonna be some Ike haters but I thought i would give it a try

i have the chatterbait/spinnerbait baitcasting rod. I really like it. The difference i notice off the bat between the 7ft M veritas i was using before was my spinnerbait would often come back mangled after fighting a fish, i didnt think i was "horsing" them in either. But when i got this rod it definitely "loads" upon the strike.

I have 3. won 2 and bought one, for their price they are worth the money in my opinion. pretty sensitive too. i use mine for texas rig, shaky head(spinning rod), and i have a 7'3" heavy, i believe, for jigs. not positive on the last one just remember its longer than 7. but i have never had a problem with any

I have two of them. Like them a lot.
Nice rods. I'll have to look and if they are on sale will buy a couple more.
