Jarett had the fish to win it at the net. I guess it's better to have the chance than not at all.

Congratulations to all that got a check. It was tough to find fish with any size for us. Out of 5 days fishing we only had 4 bass over 2#, the rest were 10-12" dinks.
It was an experience to say the least.

Congrats on the guys who grinded it out. It was anyone's tournament. I'm sure our story played out the same as other teams in contention. I know of some other big fish lost by guys in the top 10. Any of which would've won it. There's a ton of fish in that place. I bet we caught 40+ today, culled 8-10 times and probably had 4 limits.

Congrats on your finish! I've been telling folks how good the fishing can be on the Sabine while many were saying they were so disappointed in where the tournament was being held. It's still fishing, level playing ground for everyone involved. Great fishery for fun fishing and glad you guys figured them out.

Mike and I had a great time. Figured out early on we had to make a long run to get the better bites. Had all our water to ourselves each day. No one bothered us at all. Caught lots of fish with most being 14" or above but we never could get a fish over 2lbs or so. Saw a couple on Thursday in practice but they did not show up for us. We were consistent in our limits both days weighing in 9.71lbs and 9.75lbs respectovely. A dead fish penalty yesterday cost us 8 places in the standings but luckily no money on the payout. It was struggling as soon as we caught it but never could cull it out with anything that would help. It was alive when we left to go in so we gambled and hoped it would make it. It cost us a pound in weight.
Big thanks to Champs for choosing a place that really tested you a bit. We both love shallow water fishing and knew we would do fine once we got there. The long run each day was different for us but all in the all it was a fun experience. Lots of fish caught and well worth the trip. Big thanks to the dealers in the Sportsman's Auto Network especially Moritz for doubling our payout. Hard to complain getting your winnings doubled just for buying a truck you were gonna buy anyway.
We fished the East this past season and while it took some miles and time we are gonna do it again next year. Champs runs a great trail and glad to support them. cheers

Couldn't agree more about the location. With the high winds I would've hated to be on a large body of water plus nobody was set up to dominate. Literally anyone in the top 100 could've won it on day 2. Find another location that gives you those odds.
