Lake Nacogdoches Help - 09/30/16 12:43 PM

headed to Lake Nacogdoches in the morning to take my son fishing. He is in college at SFA and wants to try the lake. Have never been there and I'm not hunting fishing spots, just wondering if I should have any safety concerns?? Where to run, where not to run... Best place to put in... Thanks

I would suggest fishing lake Naconiche that is 20 minutes north of Nacogdoches instead. Great looking lake loaded with fish and it has two narrow arms so you can clearly see where to go. Lots of timber to fish.

If you decide to run above the Power Lines then stay to the East side along that shoreline. Once you get past the Island (On the Left) stay in the middle and just look for any isolated stumps.
