10 ft rods - 09/28/16 03:36 PM

I don't know if this topic has been discussed....but....here goes....BASS has announced that they will allow 10' rods for all of their tournaments.....IMO...that's just too long......how about you?????

That doesn't mean anyone has to use them.

But if someone has a solid stringer and wants to throw a 14" glidebait to maybe catch a giant, they can use an 8'6 swimbait rod if they want, or someone wants to throw a 200XD that I'm sure will be out soon.. they can use a 9ft cranking rod.

I understand where the 8ft rod came from when true flipping originated, but the rule was outdated and was just a simple updating, not too big of a deal and won't affect 90% of the anglers out there
