The Last Resort is near the the water, and Powell Park is on the water.

All I keep seeing and hearing is throw a frog and a swim jig in the hay grass on the lower end of the lake. Good numbers supposedly and a really fun way to fish.

We've always stayed at Powell Point. Cabins are clean, they'll keep you dry, and a shower to stay clean, but that's about it. Boat ramp and restaurant right there... Dan

Spro poppin frog up under willow trees, mayhaw bushes, anything thats provides alot of shade. Skip it under there as far as you can and work it slow. Black/Yellow & White should do you good. 1-3ft.

Thanks Roger for the recommendation. My number and website are in my signature. The swim bait bite has been good lately also. Call me if you need a place to stay or just want to know what they are biting!

"Open" is relative to how many stumps you want to dodge. roflmao There is a boat lane to 103 but not to Marion Ferry.
The lake has not changed in 10 years, only the water level. It is steadily dropping and the broken off stumps are starting to emerge. Run the boat cut or have a good cell phone siginal to get towed back in. banana

I don't suggest running to Marion ferry unless you know where you are going

I don't suggest running to Marion Ferry unless you have an airboat.
