How does this river compare to the red river? Going to be down there next two weekends and curious on what to expect seems like backwaters are better for quality but this river does not seem to have as many as the red river and we are not allowed to lock. Also how in the world can I read water levels for a river system? Been looking at stuff online regarding water levels and cannot make any sense of what I am looking at.

Make sure and take a tree saw & chain saw with you, also make sure your boat insurance is up to date. Those cypress trees are hard on fiberglass.

Can't wait for the tournament on the 8th! Should be pretty good with fall temps rolling in!
