I missed that post, looked a little bit for it, one thing I have learned... Larry Dalburg is a pretty fart smeller, that dude is good, took me awhile to buy in. He is the diverse angler, very talented, and innovative... Much respect..
Flang a whooper stupid plopper and watch what happens....LOL. nuts

Find some schoolers, they will get all over it.

flooringit I'll take them off your hand and make more room in your tackle box for at least the postage it takes to mail them to me. Doesn't matter the color or size.

Re: ? Whooper plopper post - 09/23/16 11:37 AM

I bought 4 or 5 of them when they first came out. Never put one on my string yet, don't even know where they are at in my boat.

I've got 3 of em. 2 middle size and then 1 smaller. They cast great and look good but haven't caught anything yet on them. Watched all the hype videos so 1 day I may get in on all that "action"!!

I watched Lance Vick wear a school out throwing that thing. We were right beside him - nothing. We couldn't get bit, he had the little one tied on. If I hadn't seen it prolly wouldn't have believed it either.

Re: ? Whooper plopper post - 09/23/16 03:33 PM

he threw it with us in the boat in August, It would come thru pads surprisingly well. Only a couple of cast, we were on a different bite, but I did go buy one.

The West Coast boys have been fishing with them for several years now on the Delta

Re: ? Whooper plopper post - 09/23/16 06:35 PM

In az too. Don't think they are just for schoolers. Throw them anywhere you would throw a buzzbait. When they want it they absolutely crush it. Plus with those nasty trebles they don't come off.

Re: ? Whooper plopper post - 09/23/16 07:23 PM

Don't throw it they don't like it at all, and I will also take them off anybody's hands that has them
taking up space in the boat.

My non boater beat me in last tourney by catching doubles on plopper ( i dont own one) violin

Re: ? Whooper plopper post - 09/23/16 08:12 PM

as a former cal delta fisherman, some big tourney guys out there catch 25-30lbs on them. but as for myself, never had the confidence in them, killer for stripers though! especially the bone color

They work on the peacocks in Brazil. The only problem is those peacocks tear them to pieces

Re: ? Whooper plopper post - 09/23/16 09:51 PM

I've had the Magnum Sandies on Fork tear the front treble hook completly off.
