BASS Elites add 2 "legend" spots for 2017

Its based on previous Classic and AOY wins among other things. May not be new but I saw wherwe Elite rookies get an automatic 2nd year Elite spot too no matter where they finish. The BASS Advisory committee voted on it and if I am not mistaken it has Elite anglers on it.

That first year can be,IMO, major adjustment to the big league. It's a good rule.

It may be for some but there's been quite a few rookies lately that have won events or have been consistently at the top. It can be an adjustment, no doubt. Not really sure how I feel about the rule though. I see why but part of me says this waters down the Elite status. If your truly Elite you should be able to hang

I think they should have a deal like pro golf. If a guy wins a classic he should be automatically qualified to the classic for the next 5 years.
IN golf if you win a major I think it is 10 years for all majors and 20 for that specific one.

Looks like they just rewrote the rules where Clunn and VanDam will always be able to fish with the elites.

I think they have earned that right. But I think this will help Paul Elias in the near future
