What's the lake like? Going for the first time tomorrow. Any advice would be awesome.

My advice would be either head 10 mi north to monti or 10 mi south to fork.

I think you will be disappointed with Winnsboro. Pretty shallow and not a lot of structure that I could tell. I'd email Marc Mitchell and ask how the top water frog bite is at Monticello. That is another lake that you sure better idle through if you are not familiar with it...just my opinion. I know my neighbor catches a lot of channel catfish at Winnsboro.

Partner crossed me up today and flaked so ended up going to Athens and had a good day. Top water bite was really good in the morning.

Watch out on the ramp it is very small and easy to fall off of.
