Caddo lake

I'll be kayak fishing caddo lake for the first time end of July, anyone have any tips? Mainly a bass fisherman but enjoy catching anything. I'll be staying on the north west part of the lake and am thinking of going through charters chute paddling trail. If anybody has any suggestions or tips it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Usually do good on dark colors, black senkos, black lizards, etc. When in doubt go with black/blue.

I've seen a number of alligators in Caddo, so be aware.

Spend a decent amount of time fishing where Carters Chute meets main river.

It is a beautiful lake!!
