Is the 315 public ramp near kickapoo usable? Never used nor seen the ramp. Thanks

Not a bad ramp,,,,,very usable.
I use it even when I am fishing by myself. it has a nice dock/walk to pull up to while you go park the trailer.
nice place to put in because of places you can get to to fish without running the lake.

This is a very good ramp now that the water is back up. If the lake is down a few feet, you cannot use it. If you are launching there and don't know your way around then idle everywhere! Lots of stumps up there. If you are going up Kickapoo, you have to cross over the old 315 roadbed. Not too much of a problem now but raise you engine up to cross it.

Always some fish up there!

Watch the water level! The chute coming out of the ramp is only 2-4 feet deep. When the water drops it can get tough to maneuver. The roadbed is extremely shallow at this level so be careful even when idling, stay closer to the rip rap.
