Short video from Ray Roberts - 07/13/16 05:24 PM

Had a good day on Ray Roberts yesterday. Been a while since I fished it, had to battle the wind. I caught a few 1-2 lb schooling fish fishing the corp brush piles, lost one good one there doing that but got tired of trying to hold the boat in position. Was having to use a 1/2 weight just to fish it which was rediculous on 6lb line.

Then went back to some areas that had some shaded willows still in 2-3' of water and found quite a few fish there. Mostly 2-3lb fish but did break one close 5 off trying to lift it (had a weak spot in my line). Next few flips caught this guy, click on it to watch the video. I have a lot of video to edit of my trip there.

Good job. That wind sure has been brutal.

Man it's no joke! The first calm day we have they'll be biting all over the deep structure, since they haven't been hammered in 5-6 days

Just about tired of this wind! It's hard to fish the deep pattern with it going like it has. Just got to get up early for the shallow bite I guess.

If you pay attention to the water temps, I found some in 2-4 feet that was 82. Main lake is 86 if you find a place with just a few degrees difference, with some shade they will be there.

But yes the deep bite on Ray Bob is usually the ticket right now. Just need a little less wind
