What are the best lures to fish when the water temp is in the high 90's? Gonna be on Fayette County on Saturday.

I've had good luck with a very slow rolling spinner bait. Also drop shot.

Deepest water you can find (above any thermocline) and drop shot, crig, jig.
Deepest isolated cover you can find--deepest trees/pads/deepest grass/etc trig.
First thing in the morning and other low light conditions, shallow flukes and ring fry's at a point (preferable wind blown point) by any cold water intake/cold water feeder creeks.

Spook first light, next to heavy cover.

At Fayette right now I would throw a C-rig with an Zoom Ole Monster in either
Blue Fleck or Plum Apple in 15 to 20 fow. Also a 5xd or 6xd in the same areas.
I prefer Sexy Shad or Chartreuse Blue back.

Keitech Mad Wag One of my most successful baits at Fayette is the Keitech Mad Wag. Bass on that lake LOVE a worm! The unique tail action on this bait drives bass crazy. I don't know if it's the design of it or what, but they love it. The Midnight Blue color is my most productive color.
You can also get on a pretty good topwater bite in the morning and late in the day.

24 to 36 inches is what I use.

Paul Elias is the king of the C-rig and he said that he tested long and short leaders and said what he came up with was to reel the weight to the tip of the rod and have the bait hang between the last two guides on the rod. That is what I do and it has worked well for me for many years.
