Mercury Platinum Warranty cost?

Looking in to buying a new boat. What is cost on extending the Mercury warranty to 2 extra years of Platinum coverage or 3yrs?

Call jacos marine. They smoked everybody's price. I think they are like the biggest Mercury dealer or something.

I bought the Platinum for my 2015 250 ProXS and had to pay around $3000.00; this includes an upgrade fee and the coverage costs. There is a major difference in coverage and worth the cost if you plan on keeping your boat for several years. The Gold and the Platinum combined gives 8 years of coverage. The gold does not cover a lot of things but the additional coverage will provide that added coverage.

Let me ask a dumb question. When I bought my ranger it had factory plus the original owner had 2 years of gold. I'm coming to the end of gold coverage in about 4 months. Can I extend this? I see on website they mention coverage out to 8 years.
