And they left out another east Texas gem as far as I am concerned . LOP

I mean, its a good lake that spits out some stupid sacks at times, but wouldn't have put it up there with the others. For the same fact Squaw is fun, but I wouldn't classify it with them either.

What's the best lake in Texas, not on the list? Allan Henry? Athens?

Ray Roberts? I'd put Lewisville on the list before RR.

That's basically what Keith Combs said about it during the TTBC

They just spread the list around each year to give the different areas some advertisement and economy lifts. I cant see what it matters what, how or why they rate lakes anyway. If they rated Falcon #1, would that incline anyone from DFW to make the 15 hour hike down there to fish it? For the most part I would guess this is filler info for the company. The more info they can put out, the more value is perceived thus the more sales increase. BASS is little more than an advertising company anymore.

Yes they will make the drive. I have been on Toledo Bend my whole life and this last year have seen the biggest increase in visitors coming from all over the USA to fish because it's the "number 1 lake in the country"! Ridiculous amount of increase in pressure. I guess they will name it number one until they do enough damage and it starts to suck and then they can go ruin another lake.

Keith combs was also getting over 20 bites a day in practice and shaking them off. Big bites too.... that turned to 6 and 7 come tournament day. The fish did not eat during that tournament for whatever reason.

Falls of the Nuese is about 12 mins from my door step. Ledge fishing at its finest but of course being from Texas I find the nastiest lay downs I can and it paid off big early this month. Caught my PB 7# 1oz bass in my club tourney. Finished 2nd place on Smith Mountain Lake in VA. Pretty cool to travel and fish all these lakes that are ranked up there!! 4 tourneys this year and I have finished 3,2,4,2. Looking for that W though. Fun to beat em on the lakes they fish daily!!!

I read a consumer reports magazine one time when they ranked the top 10 domestic beers. Number one ranking......Busch.
I knew from then on that there was some sort of hidden agenda behind any magazine ranking.
Sure am glad to live in Texas though!

Not many central, south, or west Texas lakes on that list - just Falcon. Fayette and Bastrop usually make the cut. Not this year. Which is fine by me.

Ya I was kinda pissed when it made it again just for what you said. This year has been crazy with the amount of boats that have been there.
