Is Navionics the best map card or is there something better? Opinions comments welcome.

Depends on what unit you have. If you have lowrance the. Yes navionics is the best. If you have bird and the lakes you fish are on the card then lake asters is the best. You have more shade options on lake master/humminbird then on lowrance/navionics.

Shade options are great features but regular updates is an even better feature in my opinion. So for that I give the Navionics the #1 spot.

Not to hijack the thread, but, I have a 2012 Nav Hotmaps Prem card. Is it worth the $99 to update? Is there really any more info with the update?

I bought a new Navionics Hotmap Platinum on Ebay for $142 and get a year updates for free. If your graph will take the Platinum, better to get a new one. Platinum is a much better card too.
