Quick Fork Report 5-16-2016 - 05/17/16 01:58 PM
This is what was going on for me on Lake Fork yesterday after the Legend tournament. I have also posted a few older pictures, the first two are from my trip yesterday. In total we had about 20 fish all day with the morning being a lot better than the afternoon.
The water temp where I was fishing was 73-75 degrees and I stayed out on main lake all day. I starting out the morning in about 7' on a main lake point with a C-Rig using a 4 foot leader, 3/8 oz weight, #3 rigging hook with a fluke (Watermelon Seed/Slice) I was also throwing a Drop Shot with a 1/4 oz weight, 16 inch leader and a #1 rigging hook. (Tomato) Largest fish we picked up with it was about 4 pounds and we caught some good unders.
After that I focused on deep water 20 - 24 foot out on main lake points, humps and road beds. The best fish of the day were caught with a 6XD and 8XD. I was also throwing the C-Rig with a 1 oz weight, 6 foot leader, #3 rigging hook with a fluke (Watermelon Seed/Slice.)
I have folks wanting to go out for some sand bass about once a week and last week we caught 50 with 6 black bass in about 3 hours all on Storms and A-Rigs.
Hope this information can help
