What are the Elites catching them on at Toledo?

Anyone know what the baits or lures the Elites are using in general?

Probably many different baits. You got guys up shallow to out deep.

I've been watching it on bassmaster live, KVD is alternating between a 10 XD, flutter spoon, and swim bait fishing off shore. The footage I saw of Evers looked like he was dragging but dont konw if it was a rig or football jig. Earlier footage of Clunn showed him cranking as well. Chris Lane frogging.

They also said KVD was throwing a hair jig as well. He put a treble from a 10XD in his palm landing an 8 pounder this morning. Owww...

What kind of top water is Chris Lane fishing?

River2Sea Whopper Plopper

That's not a whopper popper in the photo I posted from yesterday.

I did not see yesterdays post.

That is what he is fishing today according to the live feed and Chris talking about it. He caught one about 7 (my estimate) live on the feed using the Whopper Plopper.

Not sure about yesterday.


They just reported Boom-Boob caught a 10.

That Whopper Plopper is the real deal. They will try and demolish it too when they hit it. Looks like a gimmick but it catches fish.

Looks like the wind is changing to the NE fairly strong. The live feed is messed up now.

What is one of the cool things of watching the live feed is that you can see the diffeversty of baits they are using..

After watching KVD with the 10xd I finally seen how you catch fish with one.

I just looked at the photos from C Lanes day his top water bait was bone colored but looked fatter in the middle than a super spook...guess thats his business still early in the game, those whopper ploppers are the real deal,caught lots of big uns on em clear lake ca. starting in 2012 I fish em on 65# power pro with a small 100 lb spro swivel they can spin and twist line they come with good hooks I change out to KVD short shank 2x stong ulra points # 2s favorite colors are monkey butt and loon yet to see a white or bone colored one makes sense tho also they were disigned by larry dalberg for I think a musky bait..the common bass size is the 130 then there is one smaller then bigger the musky size they catch big fish spook body buzz bait action, you can stop it pause it versitile bait made by R2Sea 16.99 but they last unless you explode them on a dock or rock

yep tackle wharehouse has the bone ones and the loon with yellow too, try and support your local family tackle shops internet sales hurts the mom and pops shops.

KVD has throw 10XD and big swim baits, for the most part. Chris Lane Whopper plopper, Hank cherry swim jig.

Tbucket.. what he did was throw it, and throw it, and throw it.. for 3 days. He was using 17lb flurocarbon line and it was just relentless casting of that bait. If he lost confidence in it a little, he would change over to a white hair jig. He fished that by letting it sink.. then reeling the reel really fast for 5 or 10 turns.. but never jigging with the rod.. just reeling.. I've never seen it done that way before. One thing that he did with the 10XD is the wind was really causing him issues. The waves were breaking over the bow at times on Sat. He would position his boat up wind of where he wanted to fish and cast down wind.. probably about half a mile.. and crank it back. I bet the man's arms are about to fall off.

thats how kevin fishes hair jigs speeds up the bait with reel handles then kills it he stuck fish just that way on during bass fest last couple of years watched him on the live coverage.
