I was out there Saturday and was fishing around the main lake point that splits the two creeks and heard a turkey gobbling. I thought I was hearing things because there's no way there's any turkey around this area. Then my girlfriend heard it so I wasn't just hearing things. Then a few minutes later we started to hear another one further away and the two were gobbling to each other. Crazy. I still don't think there's anyway there's turkey in the area but hearing it that close it had to be. Anyone else ever hear them?

I heard him last Saturday. Thought it was cool. He was on the southern bend, west side, of the main point.

Several flocks in and around Midlothian, so I'm sure that at Pool as well.

It still shocks me there's turkey around the lake. I grew up in Mansfield and I hardly see any coyotes around anymore with all the development going on. On another note I caught 6 dinks on Saturday in a few hours up the creek. Caught a couple females that were full of eggs and no signs of them spawning. No bloody tails or any beds. The further you went up the creek the cleaner the water got that's when we started catching them.

It maybe the call function on the family type walkie talkies. My grandson likes the turkey and crow calls it makes.

I've seen them in Loyd Park, right between the boat ramp parking area and the creek that runs adjacent to it. Have also heard them gobble a couple times.

Plenty of turkey there. I see them in Lynn creek park and there are plenty on the peninsula. I saw 10-12 this past fall on the west side of lake ridge north of England pkwy headed toward the road to get out on the lake side of the roadway.
