I'm guilty of this too when kayak fishing lol. I don't give them a chance to get off the hook.

Haha. My biggest bass never tap it at all. Usually don't even feel it. The line just gets tight, or whacked way slack. It's usually a case of something doesn't feel right. Then WHAM! Usually, for me at least, tap tap usually means smaller fish.

Yeah, that is mostly true for me as well. I was just a bit trigger happy haha.
