Those are great for kayaks, but I'm not sure about your express boat. I have a similar express and if there is the slightest wind it can be hard to hold in one spot with a wimpy pole like that. Maybe if you could find a longer one or heavier duty one that can drive deeper in the ground or hold better.

Agree. I think anything bigger than a kayak and it will be problematic.

Get some conduit, a small sledge hammer, and some PVC T's to keep it from scratching your boat.

Yes. Holds my boat just fine. Tons of people use them.

I use them as well. Had the panther king bow mount on my stratos before I sold it. And it did great. I think I have the 8' pole but get the longest they have. Got a skeeter now and kinda want the transom mount instead they make a jack plate kit too which is the route I will have to go. Man I wish I could afford a power pole though

Just ordered the kingpin transom kit w/10' pole. I'll post some pics when I install but since I can't justify a Talon right now, hope this helps. Boat just moves around a lot in wind and hoping this will help. Venom lures makes a sharp TM mounted pole but hoping I can throttle the Tm well enough to keep the boat positioned right.

i used the stick it anchor with my buster boat, they can be difficult to embed at some local lakes. At the coast we use a 5 foot stainless steel rod and rope to hold a 20 foot flats boats.

I have one on my Tracker. It's tough to get it to stick and hold, wouldn't recommend for your application.

I have a 10' Stick it anchor pin. It works great.

I have 2 8' pins and the mounts you put them thru. One on my transom and one on my trolling motor shaft. If you want no movement when bed fishing front and back is better. I also use them as push poles if needed.

And if I don't want my boat drifting off the bank when going in to eat I stick the one down in the back. I have an 18' fiberglass bass boat. They hold it just fine.

Total cost with shipping 3 years ago $250.

If you query shallow water anchoring in the for sale section you will find the guy in Florida who makes them.

I use the dig-in anchor system on my ranger rt188. works great for sight fishing. one mount on the bow (that I remove when sight fishing is over) and one that mounts on the starboard side motor mount. they are inexpensive, quiet, and work just fine. the 10' poles lay easily down the side of my rt188, completely out of the way.

I made mine to use on my 8-foot Bass Hunter from fiberglass rods and stainless steel hardware, and a plastic T-handle. Mine are 2-section, 8-foot anchor pins that join in the middle. See www.catfishedge.com/shallow-water-anchor for where to order parts, how to make, etc. I think mine ended up costing me something like $140 for the pair. They can be difficult to drive into a hard bottom, though.
