Plenty of places to fish good water all day without ever getting out on the main lake. Have to launch strategically, I learned this from fishing out of a Pond Hopper for so many years.

Welcome to spring in Texas. It'll be windy until June.

All that means to me is I'll be fishing the south end, looking for beds in the only water that isn't churned up.

I always pay attention to the weather either checking it on my app or watching the weather in the morning before work. To say it has been "accurate" is a stretch at best. They are usually off on wind prediction as well. But we are beating a dead horse at this point. You go ahead and stay home and ill go out and keep catching...

Gotta love going out of The Villages on Palestine in winds like that. You only have to go across a mile or two of open water to get to the shore closest to the spot you want to fish.

Then when you want some wind in June to improve the bite and make it tolerable to stay out its like glass on the water.

Tell me about it. . .damn wind will blow 40+ until you need it, then it'll be dead calm. God those windless summer days are easily the most brutal. I'd rather fish in 35 degree air with a 20 mph wind than the dead calm and 103 degrees. Hell the bite is going to be just as difficult either way. . .at least the cold won't give me a heat stroke.
