Welcome to spring in Texas. It'll be windy until June.
All that means to me is I'll be fishing the south end, looking for beds in the only water that isn't churned up.
Then when you want some wind in June to improve the bite and make it tolerable to stay out its like glass on the water.
Tell me about it. . .damn wind will blow 40+ until you need it, then it'll be dead calm. God those windless summer days are easily the most brutal. I'd rather fish in 35 degree air with a 20 mph wind than the dead calm and 103 degrees. Hell the bite is going to be just as difficult either way. . .at least the cold won't give me a heat stroke.
