Anyone been out there lately? I haven't been there in years. The last time I was out there it was overloaded with matted grass which made it difficult to get around.

some awfully nice fish come out of that "mud hole"
Most bass fishermen don't like it because it is a no wake lake and very stumpy.
But it sure has some good fish in it.

I was about about three weeks ago, no grass found. Water was in the high 50s to about 61 and muddy. Caught a monster Crappie on Drop shot, no takers on rattle trap, chatterbait, flipping, etc. But, should be better with the warming trend.

shakey head finesse worms, wacky worms and black and blue jigs work well. if u idle straight across the lake from the ramp into the arm by the other fishing pier is usually good. and around the island in the back of the lake.
