Camping sites around Conroe - 03/09/16 03:00 AM
I'm wanting to take my family camping within the next month or so before it starts getting hot and I'm having a hard time finding a good place that's not booked. I wanted to go to Fayette but they are booked up till end of may, Thought about Houston county lake, Sam Rayburn, or Palestine. I'm wanting a place that has cabins with water close by where I can beach the boat overnight. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Sam Rayburn Marina Park has decent little cabins on the water. Typically a couple full beds, tv, shower, kitchenette. On south end adjacent to Twin Dikes park. I think there may be one or two other options similar at Rayburn but that's the one I've used 3-4 times over last 10 yrs and been satisfied with what you get for what it costs.

I've stayed there as well. Always thought it would be a good family weekend spot.

Does anyone know if I beach the boat will it be in range for a 100 ft extension cord to plug in charger?
