Anyone know how to convert Google map coordinates to s bird? G-maps have an extra # for the longitude and when I try to key in the third # a (9) the bird only accepts 0-5 in that spot. I'm lost please help.

GPS Babel. Save as a .kml from GE and then convert to the .hwr or whatever the HB files are. Then you need to load into your HB software on your PC and let it do its magic and put it into the folder structure for your SD card.

There is another easy way to convert your file. Save your Google Earth file in .kml format. Download "Ride Leader" by Trailtech. It is free and will open gpx and kml files. It will also allow you to do any needed editing. Additionally, it will also edit Track segments. Open your Google Earth file (kml) using Ride Leader. Once you open the file, save it as a gpx file. Take that file and load it to a memory card using HumminbirdPC. You can then upload that file to your Humminbird unit. Going from Google Earth to Humminbird format takes about minute. I like GPS Babel but it will only convert files and not allow you to perform any editing.

FYI, Make sure you don't go over the maximum number of trails your unit will allow. Not sure which unit you have, but the my 998c only allows 50 tracks max! HumminbirdPC will not upload to your sd card if you have more than the max number of tracks and you will get an error.
